Dad’s Morning Brew

  • One of our favorite places is the Spaghetti Factory. My kids enjoy the meals and atmosphere and my son especially likes the Fullerton restaurant because it’s right near the train station. But because we are a family of five, and because we were personally hit by the Great Recession and unemployment, we don’t go out so often and so our Spaghetti Factory treks slowed to a halt. But, last year, as part of the 40th anniversary celebration, restaurant officials rolled back prices on several meals. It was a great deal and we got lured back. At least for a short time. We hoped that they would keep the prices, especially in light of the bad economy, but they didn’t and we haven’t been back since. So it was exciting to hear that they are rolling back prices again for two days in January, to celebrate 41 years. See this story for details. OC REGISTER According to the story, “Chris Dussin, president of the chain, said last year nearly 41,000 guests in one day ate 23,000 pounds of cooked spaghetti at the rollback prices.” So I wonder how many other families would be making the Spaghetti Factory a regular visit if they made these price rollbacks permanent? My guess is plenty.
